For oral group exams, the team is allowed to do the exam without you.

SAP will register you for the upcoming re-exam. You do not need to notify SAP or hand in a doctor’s notice. Just get tested and get well!

Due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 situation and how it is effecting a lot of people, we have changed the normal procedure related to exam assignments and not being able to submit.

You will not use any attempts
If you end up not submitting your exam assignment (remember not to submit a blank sheet) SAP will cancel the exam attempt and register you for the re-exam.

No action is required
You will not have to apply for an exemption to have the attempt cancelled.
You do not need to contact SAP about it.

Oral exam?
If your exam consist of an oral exam as well and if you ill for the oral exam, then please write sap about it.

As with all other exams this Autumn term, if you do not attend the exam, Sap will cancel your attempt and register you for the re-exam in the re-exam period.

Online oral exams

Due to the situation surrounding Covid-19 and in accordance with the Danish Health Authorities’ recommendations we have decided to move all exams due in January 2022 online.

No. ITU adheres to the national guidelines stating that students must be able to prove that they are alone during the examination if asked to do so by the examiner. This common rule for all students in Denmark aims at ensuring that students do not receive any help during the exam. Once you have showed the room, you can display a background picture to maintain privacy.

Each exam begins with the identity of the student being established. If asked by the examiners, you must show student ID card.

If the date on your student card has expired:
Since you are still able to come to ITU we expect you to have a valid student card, when sitting for the exam.

Yes. In order to make the online exam as close to ordinary face-to-face exams as possible, it is mandatory to turn on the camera during the entire exam. The only exception is when you share your screen in Zoom, as this setting does not allow using the camera at the same time.

We recommend that you select a virtual background in Zoom. See tutorial. You can use this background of ITU, if you want.

According to the Examination Order, audio or video recording of an exam is not allowed unless the recordings are part of the examination. In such cases, the University undertakes the recording. The recording must thus not take place if the sole aim is to use the recording in the case of an exam complaint or to reveal cheating.

If you think that there is a risk of being disturbed, we recommend that you find an alternative to your home where there is quiet.

Please check out the ITU Zoom tutorial where it is explained how to present PowerPoint slides without having a full screen blocking your view and notes.

It is possible to be located together as a group to the online exams.

A big concern though is related to a technical issue. It is our experience that the sound can be difficult to handle with several microphones at play.
